Allied Ace Pilots was a 3D combat flight simulator for Nindendo DS. It was developed by two programmers, I was one of them. The other programmer was the lead developer and also the project manager of the game.
The lead developer was an industry veteran, a well known demo scene artist and an experienced game programmer.
While the lead developer was responsible for the core, rendering and asset pipeline, I implemented the game logic, sound system and AI in C++ and the game editor in C#.
It was the first time I worked with other professional developers, learning a lot about software development in general, got familiar with version control and bug tracking. I’ve used my experience to improve the development process at Labtech.
